NICHOLAS DAVIDOFF

WRITER/DIRECTOR

Nicholas Davidoff is an emerging writer/director and a veteran camera operator of TV and film. He's shot acclaimed shows such as Homeland, American Horror Story and True Blood. Nicholas has also written three produced screenplays with two others currently in development. "Disorder" is Nicholas’ directorial debut and a passion project based on years of research into the modern day epidemic of childhood mental illness.

DEIDRE LACASSE

PRODUCER

Deidre produced her first short film “Fast Forward” in 2002 with director Brad Furman. She’s since worked as production manager, line producer and post-production supervisor in feature films and TV episodic. Most recently producing the award-winning feature “Rockaway” that won Best Feature at the 2017 Catalina Film Festival and the audience award at Rhode Island International Film Festival. Currently Deidre is developing a TV series entitled “The Neighborhood” and an off Broadway play in New York entitled “I am Lenny Bruce”.

"Once I read Nicholas’ script it sparked a passion in me. I knew I wanted to be part of this journey to focus on a very important subject close to my heart. I recalled so many instances where I believe prescription medication played a large part in changing the lives of people I know. I wholeheartedly believe this short will create an awareness that’s being overlooked in a world where brilliance and abnormality is perceived as “part of a spectrum” and a problem that must be corrected” 

 

FRANK BYERS ASC

CINEMATOGRAPHER

Frank is an acclaimed member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) and a thirty year director of photography. Frank has worked with some of the foremost directors and craftspeople in Hollywood and has earned both Emmy and ASC nominations for outstanding achievement in cinematography for his work on CSI. Some of Frank’s most notable credits include – CSI, Boxing Helena, Hawthorne, and the iconic David Lynch TV series “Twin Peaks”.

“I was captivated by the power of Nicholas’ script and inspired by his intense creative vision for the film. It was a great opportunity for a cinematographer to really shine and create a memorable and extraordinary cinematic style for Disorder.” 

 

BOB CAMPI

EXECUTIVE PRODUCER

Bob has covering some of the most historic events in television journalism, achieving honors from the National Association of Broadcasting for coverage of the 1988 Presidential Summit in Moscow, live coverage of the “Crisis in Somalia” in 1992, and the Overseas Press Club Award for NBC News’ coverage of “The Crisis in the Middle East and the 9/11 tragedy”.  Most recently Bob received a 2017 Emmy Award for outstanding work with Entertainment Tonight.

 “Disorder is a brilliantly written script chronicling the largely misunderstood problem of early childhood mental illness. The story challenges the status quo with important social implications. Disorder is a creative mix of abstract realism capturing the frightening reality of it’s young protagonist which leaves the audience with some profound and disturbing questions." 

NATE JONES

PRODUCTION DESIGNER

Nate Jones is a veteran production designer who’s created the settings for such films as Never Back Down 2, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning, Pitch Perfect 2 and the TV series “Brockmire”.

 

Nate Jones has taken the forefront of design by producing spaces that flow with the imagination of the sets, the actors and the story. He concentrates his work on films to design environments that elevate the movie’s and moviegoer’s experience. Nate’s sharp eye and ability to create settings that immerse the viewer into the film experience is what inspires him on his journey through the world of Production Design.
